 Project 2008-09

1: The hospital building of Allopathic PHC system is build 1989 at very low budget. It was build at a time when the population of our monastery is merely 2000 monks. Today we have more than 4500 monks in Sera Jhe Monastery alone. Our hospital building is too small and often becomes congested in many occasions.

To provide better treatment with less congestion and in healthier way, we are now planning to shift half of the Allopathic PHC department towards another building that is an empty hall at the moment and it requires lots of renovations. We are also planning to get new equipments for our clinic once the renovation is complete.

The cost estimate for the transformation (renovation) of empty hall to clinic:       2000000:00

2: One of our main priorities is to provide clean drinking water to the entire Monastic community of Sera Jhe Monastery.  Till this date SJHCC has successfully constructed 5 elevated water tanks with capacities ranging between 75,000 to 150000 litres of water. Due to very poor power supply in our premise, we often use power generator to supply water to our main tank. Most of the power generators are very old model now and it often breaks down due to mechanical problem. We are therefore planning to buy two new power generators to provide better drinking water facilities to our monks.

The cost estimate for the 5 KV power generators cost:
   167500:00 x 2 = 335000:00

3: Laboratory Equipment: Bio Chemistry Analysis  200000:00

4: Waste disposal system, & service maintenance    500000:00
