Due to oppression under Chinese rule and restrictions imposed on religious study and practices in Tibet, a large number of monks crossed high mountains and strong rivers under severe cold weather and rugged terrains to fulfill the freedom they have long dreamt and cherished for. They have left behind all their belongings and dear & near ones. This programme also cover the monks from Himalayan regions of India like Ladakh, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Nepal and number of other foreign nations. It is the moral responsibility of the monastic community to fulfill the financial needs of the monks. Thus SJHCC runs a sponsorship programme to help those who are in need.

Sponsorship Scheme:

Individuals, Families, Association, Organizations Institutions can support 1 monk or as many monks as possible.

Sponsorship Amount:

Monthly contribution for one monk = US $ 25.00 Yearly contribution = US $ 300.00 Contributions of any amount are also sincerely accepted. This fund is used to cover expenses for boarding, educational materials, clothing and as token stipend for the individual monk.

Fund Payment:

All Sponsorship Funds can be made by Bank Check / Drafts / Postal Order in favor of Sera Jhe Health Care Committee. Any interested individual or organization may contact us for details of individual or group of monks who are in need of your financial assistance.
