
Sera Jhe Health Care Committee was established in the year 1989 by then Khen Rinpoche Lobsang Tsering with the seed money donation of Rs 50,000 from His Holiness the Dalai Lama. It was registered as a charitable trust under the Karnataka registration act XXI of 1960. It is administered by five board members headed by the Abbot of Sera Jhe Monastery as its Chairman. It consists of voluntary staff from the Monastic community, who are experienced, dedicated and sincere to their duties. This committee runs health services, such as Clinics, Drinking Water and Environment projects.

Jamtse Tsoling (Compassionate Lake)

Jamtse Tsoling (Compassionate Lake) This lake situated between Tsojhe Khangsar Hospital and Camp No. 2, Tibetan Settlement Bylakuppe is specifically maintained and up-graded by Sera Jhe Health Care Committee to release and preserve the lives that survive in water. It is run under the Animal life saving and preservation programme.
